I've been doing some research on The Doors, partly as an assignment form my university, partly because I want to. I came across an interview with Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger and there was a part that really got me thinking. I'm just gonna quote it.

Q: Watching the footage brings us back to a time that’s not too dissimilar to what we’re going through now. Your generation had Vietnam. My generation has Iraq. You guys were right in the middle of it and you commented on it, what is your assessment of how my generation has reacted to 9/11 now that we’re done with the first decade of the new millennium and we’re into the second? I was on the front lines of one of the first anti-Iraq war demonstrations in downtown L.A. and we tried.
RM: Good for you. I gotta hand it to you guys. You really did that. There were anti-Iraq war demonstrations going on all over America and all over the world. Could you stop the bastards? No, you can’t. You know why? ‘Cause they’ve got the power. Why do they have the power? ‘Cause we voted for them. Ballot power.

RK: Not we.

RM: Ballot power. He didn’t even win the damn election. But nonetheless, there were not enough people. Anybody got relatives in Florida?

RK: They stole it from us.
RM: Well did they? They did a real good job then, didn’t they? If you can actually steal the presidency, wow, are you sharp and on the ball! Alright you’re dealing with the foxes. What are we? We’re just a bunch of hens in the henhouse. All we want to do is lay our eggs and have some fun. We want to smoke a joint, get laid, listen to some rock ‘n roll, see some good movies. That’s all we want to do. You know what they want? Power. They want the power. This is what I objected to with Timothy Leary’s statement:  “Turn on, tune in, drop out.” Oh no, no, no, no, turn on, tune in, take over. You’ve got to take over. Don’t drop out because if you drop out, they win. Bushco wins if you drop out. We’ve got to take over. The lovers. There are two kinds of people. There are lovers and killers. The killers will fuckin’ kill you. But, you’ve got to be willing to go up on that front line and fight those son-of-bitches. We have to be willing to put our asses on the line. We have to take over. I had a friend who dropped out. He was getting his Ph.D. at UCLA in accounting and then he saw me and he saw Dorothy. I knew him back in Chicago. I had a scarf around my neck. It was cold. I’ve got a Japanese girlfriend. He said “Ah Ray. Yeah, that’s what I want to do.” I said, “Forget it. Don’t do this. You’re a Ph.D. in Accounting. Get your Ph.D. Finish your degree.” He didn’t write his thesis. He never got it. He could have been one of the corporate managers. Those are the guys we need. We need to take over the corporations. We need to take over the banks. We need to take over all that stuff. And, the goal of that is to save the environment, save the planet. Don’t destroy the planet. Nobody is coming from outer space, from the invisible world. He’s not coming. He’s not coming back. He was here. Did you miss the message? He’s not coming back and when He comes back, everything will be alright. He’s not coming back. We have to change the environment. We have to save it. We have to stop emitting all of the pollutants into the air because He’s not coming back to right it. I keep wondering why the hell – no offense if you are a Republican and if you are, let me offer you something to think about – why don’t they care about the environment? How come they don’t care about the environment? You know why? Because when He comes back…

Here is the whole interview. http://collider.com/ray-manzarek-and-robby-krieger-interview-when-youre-strange/21420/  They all say things which i consider "good brain food".

(that would’ve been nice if I could see any stars from my terrace)

(I’m surrounded by ice-cream :D )

(or your room)

(like gettin drunk as fuck on july morning)

(Hell yeah!)

(speaking of which ... mmm)

(hitchin a ride and goin to Nessebar, off to meet my psycho-thinking-adventurous soul mate)

last night on earth

I text a postcard, sent to you
Did it go through?
Sending all my love to you
You are the moonlight of my life every night
Giving all my love to you
My beating heart belongs to you
I walked for miles 'til I found you
I'm here to honor you
If I lose everything in the fire
I'm sending all my love to you

With every breath that I am worth
Here on Earth
I'm sending all my love to you
So if you dare to second guess
You can rest assure
That all my love's for you

My beating heart belongs to you
I walked for miles 'til I found you
I'm here to honor you
If I lose everything in the fire
I'm sending all my love to you

My beating heart belongs to you
I walked for miles 'til I found you
I'm here to honor you
If I lose everything in the fire
I'm sending all my love to you

бе покрита с бисерна роса;

Best Zombie Movies

Best Zombie Movies

1. 28 Days Later (2002) - After breaking into a primate research facility, a group of animal rights activists
discover caged chimps chained up before banks of screens displaying
horrifically violent images. Ignoring the warnings of the terrified researcher
who maintains the chimps are 'infected', they begin to free the animals and are
immediately subjected to a bloody attack from the enraged creatures. 28 days
later… Cycle courier Jim (Cillian Murphy) awakes from a coma in the deserted
intensive care unit of a London hospital.....

2. 28 Weeks Later (2007) - The
zombies (again referred to as "the infected") from the first film
have died out and England is ready for repopulation. The American military are
slowly bringing British citizens back to London, where a heavily guarded
community is picking up the pieces and trying to return to normal life. The two
kids soon escape from the heavily guarded community, go off searching for their
childhood home, and discover that mom might not be quite as dead as they
originally thought. Chaos follows, with the sadistic military and the forlorn
survivors battling both each other and "the infected."....

3. Braindead (1992) (a.k.a. Dead Alive) Peter
Jackson's blood-splattered comedic masterpiece may be the goriest film on the
list, but it's so over-the-top that it's actually funny.....

4. Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things (1972) - If you
can look past the wacky '70s wardrobe in this Bob Clark (Black Christmas)
effort, you'll be rewarded with a spooky build-up to a nightmarish climax that
will have you lying awake in bed at night -- with rubber sheets.....

5. Dance of the Dead (2008) - John Hughes meets George
Romero in this entertaining low-budget horror-comedy about a group of high
school outcasts who vow to save their prom from zombies spawned by pollution
from the nearby nuclear power plant. Funny, fast-paced and screaming for a
sequel.....

6. Dawn of the Dead (1978) - Romero took the reins of the genre he created with
"Night of the Living Dead" and followed it up with "Dawn of the
Dead" — the greatest zombie flick of all time.....

7. Dawn of the Dead (2004) - It's somewhat unfortunate that this film had to
take place in a shopping mall and serve as a remake of Romero's classic, as
aside from the setting it is a completely different movie - and a good one at
that.

8. Day of the Dead (1985) - Part three of what was once George Romero's zombie
trilogy (he's made two more since), "Day" initially received tepid
reception because it doesn't quite match the impact of the previous two movies
("Dawn" and "Night").....

9. Dead Alive (1992) - This campy early film from The Lord of the Rings' Peter
Jackson delivers the most fun you'll ever have watching a zombie flick. If the
thought of a zombie baby, a kung-fu priest and a lawnmower massacre don't get a
rise out of you, maybe you should pop a purple pill.....

10. Dead and Buried (1981) - This unorthodox zombie film features a small town
inhabited by undead citizens who seem normal -- talking, working, taking
pictures, using opposable thumbs -- except for the desire to brutally murder
any and all visitors. At least you get a souvenir photo of your death.....

11. Dead Meat (2004) - This rural Irish offering is a vegetarian's dream: mad cow disease
spreads to humans, turning them into carnivorous zombies. It's surprisingly
straight-faced for a film with man-eating cows and a zombie children's birthday
party.....

12. Dead Snow (2009) - The best Nazi Zombie movie ever made. "Dead Snow" is a pretty
straightforward modern zombie flick with equal parts gore and humor. It's like
a twisted combination of the video games Resident Evil and Wolfenstein, with a
dash of the movie "Evil Dead II" thrown in, and served over a bed of
virgin Norwegian snow.....

13. Deadgirl
(2008) - By far the most disturbing zombie film on the list,
"Deadgirl" is a completely different and original take on the zombie
movie. Following the path of high school friends who discover a living corpse
in the basement of an abandoned mental hospital, the film delves into the
deranged psyches of bored suburban teenage boys, and exposes the different
levels of depraved morals among them.....

14. Fido (2006) - If
you've ever fantasized about having your own zombie pet, zombie bodyguard, or
zombie housekeeper, then "Fido" is your kind of movie. It's been
described as a cross between "Night of the Living Dead" and
"Lassie," although it is clearly a comedy film.
....

15. Flight of the Living Dead (2007) - Sorely overlooked and straight-to-video, Flight
of the Living Dead
nonetheless delivers theatrical thrills, chills and
blood spills within the unique confines of a 747. There's nowhere to go
but...down.....

16. I Walked with a Zombie (1943) -
Gorgeous little thriller from famed producer Val Lewton, filled with creepy
black-and-white atmosphere and featuring Carrefour, the best zombie in any
movie that you don't actually see gnawing on human gristle.
....

17. Land of the Dead (2005) - Often thought of as George Romero's fourth-best
zombie film, Land of the Dead is underrated for its ability not only
to make biting social commentary (on big business, the Iraq War, terrorism and
the distribution of wealth), but also to deliver literal biting.....

18. Let Sleeping Corpses Lie (1975) (a.k.a. The Living Dead at the
Manchester Morgue)
- A straight-up zombie film for the zombie film
lover. "Let Sleeping Corpses Lie" has fantastic and realistic zombies
of the "freshly dead" variety. ....

19. Night of the Creeps (1986) - Got alien slugs on the brain? You're not the only
one. The corpses in this fun, freewheeling cult film are reanimated by
extraterrestrial mollusks who direct the zombies to, ironically, one of places
you're least likely to find brains: a sorority house.....

20. Night of the Living Dead (1968) - Although it has been remade twice (the decent
1990 version and the horrible 2006 debacle in 3D), the original is just as
chilling as anything that has come from the genre since. This movie forces you
to think about every possible stronghold, weak point, and escape route in your
house.....

21. Planet Terror (2007) - While
audiences were arguing over Death Proof, a riot of a film slipped under the
radar. Think From Dusk ‘Til Dawn, with zombies. Hilarious and stylish, Planet
Terror brings just as many deserving careers back from the dead as it does
zombies – not least Jeff Fahey and Michael Biehn, together at last. Also
features the guy from Lost collecting human balls.....

22. Resident Evil (2002) - To date, Resident Evil has stood as practically the only
example of a good -- or at least, an enjoyable -- movie based on a video game,
making Uwe Boll's career seem all the more pointless in retrospect. It combines
traditional zombie thrills with slick video game action that, despite a couple
of silly moments (flying kick of a zombie Doberman Pinscher), doesn't undermine
the horror elements.....

23. Resident Evil:Apocalypse (2004) - A deadly virus has been
unleashed on the population of Raccoon City. Resident Evil: Apocalypse is a
terrifying adventure in survival horror. Milla Jovovich returns as Alice, one
of only two survivors of the contained biochemical disaster in the first
Resident Evil, the $100 million hit that serves as a prologue to the all-out
action and horror of Resident Evil: Apocalypse.....

24. Resident Evil: Extinction (2007) - It's three years after the action
of RESIDENT EVIL: APOCALYPSE, and the world has turned to desert in this third
film based on the now-classic video game RESIDENT EVIL. Survivors of the
zombie-making T-virus are few and far between, but Alice (Milla Jovovich) treks
her way across the desolate landscape, fending off zombies and fighting the
Umbrella Corporation.....

25. Shaun of the Dead (2004) - The top modern zombie movie (post-2000),
"Shaun of the Dead" incorporates the best of zombie comedy films -
with realistic walking dead, ample gore, and fun use of everyday items to fight
off zombies (like the famous record-throwing scene) - without getting too
silly. Plus, the scene where the survivors "play dead" can serve as a
educational film for zombie walk newbies everywhere.....

26. The Last Man on Earth (1964) - An imperfect adaptation of the Richard Matheson
novel I Am Legend, but still the best one to date, this
"realistic" portrayal of undead "vampires" (who act more
like zombies) uses stark black-and-white imagery to build a creepy atmosphere
that greatly influenced George Romero's Night of the Living Dead.....

27. The Return of the Living Dead (1985) - Although Romero purists will marginalize
John Russo's post-Night-of-the-Living-Dead impact on the zombie movie genre,
"The Return of the Living Dead" had an indelible impact in two ways.....

28. The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988) - Wes Craven's visual stunner returns to the
traditional zombie origin, Haitian voodoo, to present a more
"realistic" portrayal of the undead. They aren't, in fact, dead at
all, but rather are paralyzed by a powder and then buried alive -- a prospect
as chilling as the living dead themselves.....

29. Versus
(2000) - Can't get enough of martial arts movies? Have an undying love for
zombies? Then look no further. The only Asian zombie film on the list,
"Versus" is worth watching for the fast-paced Samurai-style battles
between the living and the dead.....

30. White Zombie (1932) - A very different film than many on the list, "White Zombie"
is the grandfather of the American zombie film, whose influence is felt
everywhere from movies to music.....

31. Zeder (1982) (a.k.a. Return from the Dead)
- This Italian horror classic, which was released on video in the US
with misleading cover art and titled "Return of the Dead," is less a zombie
movie and more a supernatural mystery, although it does feature the living dead
so we're including it on the list. ....

32. Zombie
(1979) (a.k.a. Zombi 2) The
best of the Italian zombie factory of the late '70s and '80s, director Lucio
Fulci's film is probably best known for its underwater encounter between a
zombie and a shark.....

i wrote this 2 years ago for my previous blog. the 11 years turned into 13. she was the most wonderful dog i could ever ask for. i decided to repost this in memory of her. she passed away this summer. yesterday i had the most beautiful wakening. something was coming near my feet. she used to do that a lot so that's why i thought it was her. of course.. it wasn't. but still, i am grateful for the feeling. i haven't felt that way in a log long time.

ok so the movie is not like major funny or anything but it really got under my skin. it's about one super-bad dog who does only bad things , doesn't   listen to his masters (most of the time) and pees on the carpet XD but he is the start of their big family and helps raise their children. it just reminded me of my dog - Tina. she is with us for the last 11 years and she is the most wonderful dog i could ever ask for. after watching the movie i just lay down on my bed kissing and hugging her.  and of course crying for at least an hour. so .. if you have a dog and you love it so so so much you should definitely watch it =]

here's a photo of my lovely Tina
